(Sorry once again for my bad english

) This is a very important message for me. I hate all this: You can win against cancer if you think positive and so one. Cancer is a disease not an opponent of a boxing fight. No one can decide if you get well again or not. Of course it CAN help if you try to "fight", but if you are about to die of cancer you must know, that this is never your fault. Because like I said in the comic strip, it is no fair fight, not even a fight at all.

Keep that in mind, all the victims and the people who have lost a beloved person.

My mother died 8 years ago of cancer. She was so afraid to die, who could blame her for this? I cannot. I still love you, Mum.

Natürlich ist dieser Pathos vom "gegen den Krebs gewinnen" sehr reizvoll - es suggeriert den Leuten, dass sie in ihrer Situation nicht wehrlos gefangen, nicht hilflos sind. Erfolgsgeschichten halt.
Aber es ist eben ein Schlag ins Gesicht all derer, die Angehörige an die Krankheit verloren haben, da die in dieser bipolaren Darstellung natürlich die Verlierer sind, die "aufgegeben haben".

Genau das meine ich eben damit, ich weiß selber, dass es Menschen gibt, die sich von diesem Bild: Du kannst gewinnen, wenn du nur kämpfst, selber unter Druck setzen. Und dann darunter leiden, wenn sie merken, dass der "Kampf" aussichtslos ist. :-/

Meinte tiefste Anteilnahme.

Der Vater einer Freundin von mir ist auch an Krebs vor 3 Jahren gestorben und meine Oma liegt gerade selbst deswegen im Krankenhaus, ich kann deine Gedanken daher verstehen. Als wenn sie alle nicht kämpfen würden!
Der Presse sollte man mal wieder Menschlichkeit beibringen, denn dann würde es solche Artikel nicht geben.

Danke!! Und ebenfalls alles Gute für deine Oma. Ich finde das auch eine unfaire Art über solche Menschen zu berichten, als wenn es um Sportler ginge, die gewinnen oder verlieren können, weil sie sich viel oder weniger Mühe geben...

Great you posted this work because our world is full of "winners" and "losers" but I agree with you this is no "sport" and it´s not just in case of this disease but in many other serious problems one has to experience.
Oh I´m sorry to hear that about your mom

. I´ve lost both parents already not through this type of illness but I have made some experiences...I think that personal experience is nontransferable. Everyone fears death(more or less it´s individual) but only the strong ones can say that and try to face it. Admit his/her own fear wants real courage.
Hehe please don´t care so much about English - your message is more important than grammar...

yeah, that is exactly what I wanted to say, it is wrong to equate a disease with something like "sport" or a kind of fight. The affected persons are VICTIMS not LOSERS!
Still some people seem not to see the difference... :-/

One can say that all those who tried to "fight or defeat" something like that are victims from one part but from another they are heros or like warriors and it doesn´t matter if they "won" or "lost" they tried fight. It also one can say about those who "departed" by their own hands if there was no hope or it was unbearable. I know people usually can´t understand it
